How could the Left - my side, the clever side, the critical side, the informed side, the anti-sexist side - be so deeply, obstinately, stupid as to hand this victory to someone who is none of these things?

So Elon Musk says he’s looking for waste and fraud but the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau costs less than $1B/year and has returned $20B and counting to consumers in roughly a decade.

"And hopefully escalate the violence" Scott Ritter hopes that Russia will "escalate the violence" against Ukraine rather than accept a ceasefire. A war that has killed or wounded over 1,000,000 Russians and Ukrainians.

Quillette is often viewed as a right-wing publication, but it's mainly a publication for ideas that have merit but dissent from current orthodoxies. This is shown by the way it is now publishing a lot of material that's critical of the excesses of the Trump administration. /1

Debunking erroneous ideas that have attained wide acceptance is our brand. At first, there were more of these on the left, but the American right in particular has been in "hold my beer" mode recently.

A clip from our newest episode of The Basic Income Show about how according to Canada's own Parliamentary Budget Office, they could spend $3.6 billion more via guaranteed basic income to spend $32 billion less on poverty. Seems like a no-brainer doesn't it?

Yeah, no. People are not primarily complaining about a “far left” that focuses on socioeconomic issues, but one that runs billion dollar “training programmes” to coerce workers to affirm beliefs they don’t hold to make businesses look good without actually helping anyone.

Unique to America, our health care system is designed not to make people well, but to make CEOs & wealthy stockholders incredibly rich. The result: We have the highest infant mortality rate of any wealthy country on earth. How cruel, how immoral is that? We need Medicare for All.

Unpaid work is still work. Care work is still work. It's all just not counted as part of GDP and not recognized as contributing to society because society isn't paying for it. The best way to recognize ALL forms of work and to support ALL work is through Universal Basic Income.

One day when we can automate most labour, we'll look back at the 5-day workweek as an ancient relic, just like we see 7-day workweeks today. We can build that future with AI dividends and basic income.

Universal Basic Income would work so much better than our existing means-tested welfare systems. Government should implement #UBI in conjunction with universal basic services like healthcare, children’s education, public safety and water/energy infrastructure. Change my mind.

Don't let the media gaslight you. During the 1992 L.A. riots, President George W. Bush mobilized the National Guard, US Army, & US Marines to stop the violent rioters from wrecking Los Angeles. It's not "unprecedented." Trump is not a "dictator."

It may seem like the LA riots are about human rights and culture wars, but actually there's a hard push to deport millions of illegal immigrants because humanoid robots will start replacing their labor contributions within 12 months time. What is happening in Los Angeles is about
