Today, we have a brilliant blog from Mike Barfield Mike has been wild about science & animals from an early age. Amongst other things, he is the winner of the Blue Peter Children’s Book Award 2021 in the ‘Best Book with Facts’ category! 📚 Buster Books 📚 fcbg.org.uk/?p=21038

We have had the best day taking p1-7 to Edinburgh Book Festival! What a way to inspire our learners to be curious about the world and become avid readers and writers. Thank you M. G. Leonard, Andy Seed, Catherine Cawthorne and Sara Ogilvie. P5/6/7 were excited to meet the Gruffalo!

This is a very entertaining and graphically appealing factual book. Definitely one for ages 7-11 to read for pleasure - not just for research or topic work! Well done Mike Barfield and Paula Bossio.

Freddie Flintoff’s Field of Dreams is the most brilliant programme and the most brilliant example of what placing faith in young people who haven’t always had that privilege, can achieve. Human kindness, humour, resilience and a genuine connection between him and the boys 💕

Please don't share slide presentations of entire picturebooks online for other schools to use. It's done with the best of intentions but the author and illustrator will lose out.
