@oxfaminKE @fiscallawafrica @TheDispatch254 1. I always loved working on issues of raising living standards especially of the poor and vulnerable. I began trying to understand how to achieve it and soon realised that although people think there is a need for societal change they do not always think about the financing.

@oxfaminKE @fiscallawafrica @TheDispatch254 2. So it began with my doctoral journey linking raising living standards with tax and slowly has widened and deepened into all areas of state finance and how to improve lives

@oxfaminKE @fiscallawafrica @TheDispatch254 3. I then began trying to see how Kenya was in this discussion and soon saw that people had little or no information. Over the past 15 years I continued to look at other countries around the world and realised many developing and lack public financial information

@oxfaminKE @fiscallawafrica @TheDispatch254 4. This when I realized the need for a book that simply explains issues and unpacks what people perceive is a complex topic. Since literacy is improving in Africa, we now need fiscal literacy to improve as well

I hope the most important audience all Africans no matter where the live will read to understand the challenges we face but also to see that we all belong and we need to help each other build a better continent with better quality life.
