Couldn't agree more. If I can't find an aesthetically pleasing way of doing it, I'd usually rather not. The intrinsic motivation derived from a beautiful paragraph of prose or method of code is what still propels me.

If a product has an exact specification, because it has been made before, it can just be built. If we know what we want it to do but aren’t sure what it actually is, it has to unfold.

I love replacing Rubygem with Jumpstart Pro API clients. Swapped out an old, unmaintained BitBucket gem with this 4 method API client. No dependencies, no unused features, consistent interface with our other API integrations and very easy maintenance for any future changes.

Uninstalled gstack from Claude Code. CEO review mode? Weekly retros? YC Office Hours skill? I'm a solo dev building a Rails app, not running a Series B. Replaced it with superpowers-ruby: TDD, systematic debugging, Sandi Metz rules, 37signals-style Rails. Skills that actually

In one year, @Intercom went all-in on Claude Code, doubling the throughput of their entire engineering and R&D org. Now 95%+ of daily code is AI-generated, with 1,000+ weekly users enabled across the whole company (including sales, marketing, and finance). Brian Scanlan shares
