Reform is gaining ground, and some Conservatives think doubling down on anti-immigration rhetoric will win back voters.

However, the Dutch elections suggest they’re wrong. You don’t beat the far-right by imitating it.

Yesterday, a large majority of the Dutch Parliament voted for a resolution asking the government to support coordinated efforts for a global tax on the very rich. This includes MPs from VVD (Renew), NSC (EPP), Groenlinks-PvdA (Greens/S&D), and SP (GUE/NGL).

I wish our reaction was as positive and emotional when we see new data showing a big, positive development.

Given how fantastic and important an achievement like this is, hugs and celebrations are the right reaction.

The US chicken industry has an annualized mortality rate of 44% -- about 9X higher than backyard flocks.

Some might worry about the farm conditions that cause so many birds to die.

But the industry worries more about how to remove them -- and the Chicken Reaper is the answer.

Great talk by Dr. Jonathan Foley. Look how narrow the focus of venture capital is in financing climate solutions:
--> 66% goes to transport (electric cars and scooters)
--> 8% to industrial tech.
--> just 7% to alternative proteins

Universal basic income - now.

Or, if we can't have that, then at least ban socially useless debt-inducing shit businesses like Klarna.

Here's your regular reminder that farmers, who are setting Brussels alight again today, already get a whopping 33 percent of the EU budget

The 1843 version of “we can solve America’s health problems if we solve climate change and racial justice” was hijacking anti-slavery meetings to campaign against private property.

Frederick Douglass had no time for such “universal reform,” which detracted from the cause.

The National Chicken Council wants plant-based meats to be 'labeled in a way that clearly explains ... how they were made.'

Which is a principle I agree with ... and would love to see applied to factory farmed chicken.

So maddening how little most 'green' politicians talk about this elephant in the room. It's not just fossil fuels we need to get rid of. So what's the plan here? We need billions of investment in alternative proteins. Not saying so is a form of climate denial.
