It's disappointing to see friends and the marketing industry at large turn its back to the AAPI community after a year of claiming they're "anti-racist". The xenophobia and hate is killing us and no one cares. I hope my story helps. Thank you ADWEEK. adweek.com/brand-marketin…

The model minority myth hurts Asian Americans—especially the elderly and the young. We are not machines. We are not invulnerable. The assailants who harmed my family and me were of *many* races, including Asian-Americans. There are no simple explanations. I will not be silent.

So, I'm getting the COVID-19 vaccine on Friday because I'm fat. I'm saying this because I think a lot of people are ashamed that they are qualified bc of this and a lot of other people are judging those who get a vaccine bc of this. 1/4

This is horrific. It should be noted that these “isolated, unrelated” brutal attacks on Asians began early in the pandemic—directly due to right-wing anti-Asian hate rhetoric. We stopped talking about it as people got distracted by the elections; the actual attacks never paused.

“Was this racially motivated?” “We don’t believe so.” “Why’s that?” “Because the white mass murderer told us so.”

The fact that MEET THE PRESS couldn’t find an Asian American to speak on “Asians being politically silenced / rendered invisible in the media and thus made vulnerable to bigoted rhetoric and violent attack” speaks for itself They should’ve just aired a yellow square for an hour

Harvard counseling and mental health resources "Anti-Asian Racism Resources" page starting off strong with "You may wish that you weren't Asian, but remember that your ancestors likely went through similar or even worse incidents..."

One Minnesota State trooper apparently yelled, “Do you speak English?” at CNN producer Carolyn Sung as they zip-tied her hands behind her back. There’s so many layers of this that’s frustrating and exhausting, as an Asian American journalist.

I’ve collaborated with Merck and the triple-negative #breastcancer community to launch #UncoveringTNBC. I’m excited to finally share this eye-opening project with the world, because knowledge is power. #MerckPartner uncovertnbc.com
