4 years ago to this day i was admitted to MRI with heart & lung failure secondary to SLE. It's been a bumpy road of clinical trials, red tape of drug funding & a whole host of IV DMARS thrown at me & flare after flare. This has made me the nurse & person I am today. ❤️ #teamMRI

Having hepatology issues from 25 weeks in utero has been a mental & physical battle they don't advertise this with pregnancy 🫣. I can honestly say I've never felt as ill not sure how I've survived the last 5 weeks. Safe to say bubba is a miracle & fighter against the odds. 🙏🏼👶🏼

Today I made the decision to defer completing my masters for 6 months. Sometimes we have to admit defeat & prioritize our own health. Never an easy decision to make but even I know deep down I need to spend my time as a new mum & recover from liver failure & walk that journey.

Huge thanks to ISAT & delivery unit for looking after me so well following a large post partum hemorrhage, brilliant team who finally got me stabilised such a terrifying time. Now to get on top of this sepsis my post-partum journey has been anything but smooth sailing.

Really missing France our second home the slow pace of life, the amazing food & wine, white beaches, boat trips & of course the best cheese & fashion. That's how I envisioned my maternity leave would be spent. Hoping I will be well enough to get out there this summer. 🇫🇷✈️☀️
