So often teachers are labeled as “resistant to change.” But the problem is that change is too frequent, rarely enduring and almost always mandated. To restore teachers’ belief in the power of change and innovation, we need to empower teachers to be the drivers of it.

Kids aren’t scared about going to school & learning about systemic racism. They ARE scared of going to school & becoming a victim of a school shooting.

This is totally correct. This is the make-or-break-your-day business that is *not* in your lesson plans.
