R.I.P. Al Milgrom (1922-2020). In 1962, he founded the University Film Society in Minneapolis. In 1983, he founded the Rivertown Film Festival, which eventually became the Mpls./St. Paul Film Festival. In 1992, he gave me my first film job that didn’t involve selling popcorn.
