I have been supporting people experiencing homelessness to quarantine and isolate related to #COVID19 since March, 2020 and this is what I have learned. Quarantine + resources + entertainment = annoying but doable. Quarantine + nothing = feels like jail and can be traumatic.

Linda Polman, Paul Farmer, and others call the tendency for humanitarian aid to follow the funding in siloed programs the “crisis caravan.” But aid must address community-identified problems with integrated, not siloed, care, to rebuild systems destroyed by conflict.
