Today Alpha Young LLC received the notice of award for a SBIR Phase 1+2 fast track grant from the NIH/NIDDK. The grant provides $256,000 for the 10-month Phase 1, followed by the progression to a 3-year Phase 2 award providing a total of $1,700,000.

The award supports our goal to generate a mimetic protein with high stability and bioactivity based on soluble Klotho for the treatment of patients with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD). We are extremely grateful for the financial support from the NIH/NIDDK.

We are very excited to help unlocking the therapeutic potential of soluble Klotho as a lifesaving treatment option for CKD and potentially other pathologies associated with aging.
