Political violence has no place in our society. Ever. It doesn’t matter who it is, or what the circumstances are. It cannot be justified or tolerated.

No words, actions or sentiments warrant the use of political violence or the casualties that follow. Political violence corrodes our trust in government and our faith in each other, which democracy cannot tolerate. We are better than gunshots and hateful rhetoric. We must be.
