Exactly. The cause of congestion is too many vehicles for road capacity and it's infeasible to increase road capacity in a tight urban environment. The policy options are: 1. Reduce # of cars (congestion pricing) 2. Give ppl choice (transit/bike lanes) Everything else is noise.

Since 2010, TO development charges have increased 1000%. A 2-bedroom condo owes $80,690 in DCs alone, with more for parkland and community benefits. Where is this money going? Well, $3bn is sitting in the reserves, but About Here breaks down the rest. youtube.com/watch?v=ZEUR9b…

So the conclave is just a bunch of dudes hanging out until they decide one of them can probably talk to god? That’s podcasts. You’re describing podcasts.

One of the things that I find international (and domestic) architects and planners are most aghast by among Toronto planning regulations are our insane garbage and loading requirements. Should/can/must be reformed.

It would cost the Province ~$3B of those $232.5B to eliminate all Development charges, backfill municipal revenues, and unlock a major increase in homebuilding.

The City of Toronto Parks Department sure gets great results from its maintenance practice of dragging massive trucks all over the parks.

I'm sorry to have had to miss this meeting on an EXCELLENT proposal for 64 new homes just steps from where I live. (Hearings on #Bill5 ran to midnight). If you live near Danforth and Dawes, you should be over the moon about this development, just like I am.

Yesterday, Bike Share Toronto reached a record 36,000 trips! In addition the 14-day average is about 20% higher than this time last year. The popularity of the system is exploding, and our governments need to support a safe and connected cycling network.

Torontonians took 44,000 bike trips yesterday, when Bike Share Toronto was free. That’s potentially 44,000 people who didn’t use a car - helping to unclog our streets. That number could be much higher with solid bike infrastructure!
