Sheffield looking glorious on Easter Sunday. Happy Easter everyone!

A great village walkabout this morning with john roberts in Hoylandswaine. Picked a bag of litter and reported the poor state of Chappel Road and Highfields for patching/resurfacing as well as a blocked drain on Haigh Lane. We’re out every week rain or shine!

Great start to the day at Concord Parkrun. The parkrun UK movement is a fantastic scheme that gets thousands of us each Saturday morning out of bed and on the move. Thank you to all the fantastic volunteers and long may it continue!

Massive thank-you to Sheffield Hospitals staff today who stitched me up after a head injury during a football game today. Our NHS is always there for us; ready to spring into action, whatever life throws at us (or you throw yourselves towards…). Gory photo alert….

My commiserations to all my hard working The Labour Party candidates who didn’t get elected yesterday. Reform’s success has many implications but none more than for our NHS. Nigel Farage will destroy our NHS. He’s said he will and once it’s gone it’s gone. The fight starts now.

Me and john roberts were out this morning doing a village walkaround in Cawthorne. We picked 2 good bags of litter and reported the theft of grates across the village. Grates are being replaced with hard plastic grates with no scrap value. Onto some VE Day events now!

Great to be down today at Burngreave Foodbank seeing the fantastic work they do. They invited me down to show me how some of the funds I raised for the half marathon might be used. Rachel and the team do a fantastic job. Demand is high, but is down a bit which is encouraging!

Great to be out with Dr Marie Tidball MP Tidball and loads of fantastic activists this afternoon in Stocksbridge speaking to voters. Labour have big ambitions for Stocksbridge with the redevelopment of the high street, brining buses back and extension of the tram network!

A great family day out and about in South Yorkshire. Hockey, football, food and fun in the South Yorkshire countryside. Why would you want to be anywhere else?
