I'm so saddened to hear about the passing of my friend Rob Lorei. We anchored political shows in the Tampa Bay market but were not rivals. I became a frequent guest on his Florida this Week broadcast. We lost a great journalist but celebrate his life and accomplishments.

Happy Labor Day! I joined my first union, Writers Guild of America East, as a teenager working at CBS News. I was grateful to go on to join SAG-AFTRA CWA . There is strength in being part of a union, and we must do everything we can to protect unions from those who want to undercut them.
