Its hard to not come to the conclusion that the UK government has ceased taking defence seriously. With the USA threatening to neuter NATO and an ongoing war in Ukraine, the UK government actually cut defense spending yesterday.

Nick Cohen This is exactly how the Tories behaved in the run-up to World War II. Rather than risk public unpopularity with necessary tax increases, they put the countries defences at risk and minimised the danger. It is the first duty to defend the country and this government is failing.

Hitler will stop after the Rhineland… He’ll stop after the Sudetenland… He’ll stop after the Danzig Corridor… Putin will stop after Crimea… He’ll stop after the Donbas… He’ll stop at the Polish border… The point is they will never stop until they’re defeated in total war.

Repost if you agree that Russia must be stopped and Ukraine needs more air defence systems and weapons for protection. The world needs to hear this as we sit in basements and shelters during what seems to be one of the biggest air attacks by Russia on Ukraine yet.

I joined the Navy in 1988. That year the RN boasted nearly 66,000 people, 140 ships and 33 submarines. There were 35 frigates alone, 3 of which were permanently assigned to train our people and UK Defence took 3.8% of GDP to maintain. I offer this as a fact free from opinion.
