Felt the urge to phone in and tell all about Crawley Town FC - so I did... Erdem Konyar and everyone involved, hope it does some kind of justice. (May have gotten a bit carried away at the end there)
So good to be back in Somerville College for the ball, enjoying long-awaited catch-ups and having May ushered in with lovely music from Somerville College Choir
Very much enjoying the new display of painted sculpture on show at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Ancient figures brought to life - and just in time for my visit, too!
Had a wonderful time last night performing at the BBC proms for the first time. Pleasure to sing with the BBC Symphony Orchestra & Chorus (BBC Symphony Orchestra and Chorus) to a packed-out Albert Hall!
Arrived at the Royal Albert Hall for Brass Band National Championships Final - Felsted School and Felsted Prep School staff both represented as part of Redbridge Brass, playing percussion - excited for this one! Felsted Music
Amazing day yesterday performing in the National Finals at the Albert Hall. Felt electric to perform on that stage against the very best of Britain. A privilege to work with such top musicians Redbridge Brass. Delighted with our overall placement of 10th, too!
Former university tutor (Prof. Pitcher) going up against former student (Charlotte - charlotte ☕️) in a classics quiz? I’m going to enjoy this one very much!
We’re staying up! Proud of this group of players who have rallied and dug in despite the most inept ownership. Should never have been this close. Crawley Town FC
Lovely Somerville College alumni carols tonight in London (thanks to @wjbdawes for the invitation to sing). Great to catch up with old friends and also former Latin student Helen who’s just beginning her journey at Somerville.
An absolute joy to witness Ronnie O'Sullivan win his 8th Masters’ final. A genius at work. Had the pleasure too of sitting in front of his children Lily and Ronnie, who were lovely to chat to throughout the match - that also meant many TV appearances throughout!
