On the 21st June each year we remember all those who died in the Troubles on a Day of Reflection. In WAVE Belfast there will be an open house on Sunday from 2-5pm when individuals, families & friends can call to put remembrance tags on the trees. You will be so welcome.

Ten years ago I met a man in his 70s on a train in Kerala. When I asked if he minded travelling alone he replied: “I’m not alone, I’m by myself.” I always remember this when I’m eating out by myself or do anything without companions. It changes everything.

Relentless pressure in all emergency departments, staffing levels not what we wish them to be, large volume of patients waiting beds, delays in ambulance off load, long waits to be seen…..this is not and should not become normalised

So-called ‘conversion therapy’ is abhorrent and we continue to push for the entire LGBTQ+ community to be protected from this torturous practice. There’s no debate to be had. Doctors defending it need to take a long, long look at themselves. End of discussion.

Apologies we’ve been super quiet on here recently but we’ve been busy restocking our cupboards and getting Christmas scents tested. 3 of our suppliers have been restocked today: Urban Stems, Belfast Urban Orchard, Holywood Blue Cedar Garden Centre, Ballynahinch Beautiful shops🤩

We are disappointed that young people have been excluded from the Shop Local high street voucher scheme. Many care-experienced 16 & 17 year olds we work with live independently, contribute to the economy, and have been hit hard by the pandemic. Extend the scheme now!
