This is the High Ambition Coalition at #COP28, bringing together climate vulnerable nations with the wealthy countries who support their high ambition. Steven Guilbeault, why isn’t Canada part of this?

However, civic space is shrinking & there is a concerning trend of silencing climate defenders globally. 2456+ fossil fuel lobbyists are attending #COP28, while most of civil society is excluded due to finances, visa issues & the increase in threats of death & criminalisation.

🚨BREAKING: The GST text is out, and it's bad👎 The new text refers to 'emissions reductions' instead of a fossil fuels phase out. And that's a problem. #FossilFuels are the root cause of emissions, and the reason we've experienced escalating climate impacts. Very bad. #COP28

That said, the writing is on the wall: the end of the #FossilFuel era is coming, not fast enough and with too many loopholes, but far faster than the 2k+ fossil fuel lobbyists at #COP28 were hoping: “Transition out of the fossil fuel era” is actually in the text.
