Beliefs we need to continue to eradicate in S&C - Heavy lifting for low reps makes you bulky or sore - You only get results if you’re tired - Team-sport athletes need to run long distances to get “in shape.” - Heavy lifting “stunts a child’s growth.”

I’m not saying this is always true, but EVERY player in every successful program I’ve ever worked with would’ve seen this & been pissed at whomever left the bottles & rack like this. Do the small things well & the big things tend to fall into place.

Athlete A- doesn't eat+drink anything before AM lifts Athlete B- does Both are able to finish lifts....but Athlete A- always sore, low energy, struggles through lifts, and struggles to gain size & strength Athlete B- feels great, high energy, makes great size & strength gains

Maybe it’s time to bring Feed the Cats principles to the teaching profession. In my 38 years of teaching, the job got 2% harder each and every year. Never saw changes that made a teacher’s life better. Just like athletes, happy teachers are good teachers.
