Pope Leo XIV, if I am not mistaken, is hinting at persecution when he says: “it is not easy to preach Gospel & bear witness, where believers are mocked, opposed & despised.” He goes on to add “Yet, precisely for this reason, our missionary outreach is desperately needed.”
