Well, it took a while - approaching 50 years since I left school and 'looked after' care. I was often told I would do well at University - well better late than never. Never write a care leaver - CSA survivor off - it says more about you than them if you do 🖖

Proud to say I’m supporting sayes 😊 they provide mentoring to all young people up to the age of 32 and focus support on care leavers, I’ve been through their program twice and had 2 mentors they really did help me so much

They say you grow through what you go through well that’s true! 18 months ago I needed support SAYes Mentoring supported me on my journey and I’m now working with them and trying to share with other people who might need some support or a mentor too 🥰

Losing my grandad this year was the hardest losses I’ve faced, he was one of the most consistent people in my life and growing up in care I didn’t have many people I could count on ❤️ I’m thankful for having a grandad as loving as him 🫶 will miss him forever ❤️
