Chancellor Boschini says university lawyers have told him TCU cannot require vaccines because of the governor’s executive order

Also, the chancellor says we may be getting a one-time bonus (instead of a recurring raise to base pay) in response to having ~300 more first-year students this year. TBA after the 12th day.

Provost says 20 faculty lines have been “pre-allocated” this year for teaching need. Also notes we’re moving from a 13:1 faculty-student ratio to a 14:1 ratio.

There is no truth to the rumor that we put troublesome faculty in the larger classrooms to increase the odds of infection. But, now that you’ve suggested it, it could influence spring course assignments. How big of a class can we assign to the AAUP president?
