Washington DC is the disenfranchised capital city of the nation that has colonized Puerto Rico for 122+ years These are very different status conversations.

There’s a whole Facebook grp full of thousands of Americans exchanging methodology of how they exploit Puerto Rico through Tax breaks & underpaying locals. How they gentrify my land & how natives are β€œpests”. Its the most enraging shit to fkn read while I watch my home fall apart

Sunday nights always make me feel very anxious during the pandemic, but I’ve got pre-anxiety because tomorrow is both Sunday and the last day of February and I just...I don’t know how to be okay about March. And spring. And this year.

you are not a machine. you are more like a garden. you need different things on different days. a little sun today, a little less water tomorrow. you have fallow and fruitful seasons. it is not a design flaw. it is wiser than perpetual sameness. what does your garden need today?

They killed 9 Black worshippers in Charleston, 23 Latinx/Hispanic identifying-folks in an El Paso WalMart, and now 8 innocent Asian, females in Atlanta. This is so painful... yet people still believe white supremacy and targeted hate crimes are thing of the past...

Why are schools trying to teach students resiliency? People become resilient out of necessity. I would trade my resilience for peace and safety any day. How about we abolish systems of oppression instead? That way students won’t have to be resilient to survive.

First day under forced privatized control of Puerto Rico’s electricity grid by the newborn American-Canadian company LUMA, and thousands of people are without power. Customer Service and Luma’s website are not accessible. Today is also the first day of Hurricane Season.

Last night, the University of Michigan Regents called our demand for a modest living wage of $38k "unrealistic". The estimated combined fortunes of only two of them would be enough to fund a living wage for more than 278 years. They could fund it for 218 years and still be billionaires.
