All good things must come to an end! It was a pleasure partnering with the Moore Band in Orlando for 5-days of non-stop excitement. What a great group of students, chaperones and directors. Wishing you safe travels home. Until next time!
Students On Broadway looks forward to reconnecting with our Michigan friends and making new ones at Booth 37 at the MMC annual starting tomorrow through Saturday. Dave Rogers, former Band Director of Walled Lake HS, will be at our booth. Stop by to say hi.
Welcome to the Big Apple! After an early AM flight, Tates Creek Theatre has arrived in NYC. Upon arrival at their Times Square hotel, this theatre ensemble was greeted with lunch & welcome snacks. Now, they are off to explore the city with their Red Jacket NYC Licensed Tour Guide.
A pair of star-crossed lovers... Tates Creek Theatre began Day 2 with a Shakespearean Acting Workshop. After learning some techniques, these thespian talented students performed their own rendition of the Romeo & Juliet Prologue. Tonight, it's Romeo + Juliet on Broadway!
Day 3 in NYC! Tates Creek Theatre started Day 3 learning One Short Day, with a craft professional teaching artist from the cast of Wicked. It's a Broadway doubleheader for these students. This afternoon it's a Matinee performance of Wicked then Great Gatsby in the evening.
It's NYC Day 4 - Tates Creek Theatre learned Tulsa ‘67 facilitated by a cast member of the Tony Award Winner for Best Musical - The Outsiders. After, it's a quick lunch & wardrobe change before the matinee of The Outsiders... looking forward to seeing their teaching artist onstage.
4 Nights in Times Square, 4 Broadway Shows, 3 Master Class Workshops, & more! The students and staff of the Tates Creek Theatre had a very full Broadway NYC experience. As is always the case, all good things must come to an end. Until we meet again! "Break a leg".
Welcome to New York! Upon arrival, Tom C. Clark Choir was greeted by their Red Jacket NYC Licensed Tour Guide. After lunch at their Times Square hotel, they are off to explore the neighborhood on a guided walking tour of Midtown Manhattan.
What a way to end the night! Tom C. Clark Choir enjoyed dinner in Times Square with a very special birthday celebration. Happy Happy Birthday!
It's our pleasure to partner, once again with Note-Able Travel Experiences & welcome the MVISD Fine Arts to NYC! Red Jacket Team members were on-site at LGA to welcome travelers, other Red Jackets were on-site at their hotel readying bag lunches, welcome snacks for the room & room key cards.
NYC Day 2! Medina Valley High School Fine Arts students started their day in two studios actively participating in Musical Theater Song & Dance Broadway Experience Workshops that were facilitated by craft professional teaching artists.
NYC Day 3! A little liquid sunshine as Medina Valley High School Fine Arts ventured to the Statue Of Liberty / Ellis Island and the Financial District this morning. After an NYC Pizza dinner, it’s time for Lion King - Hakuna Matata.
NYC Day 5! All good things must come to an end. After a non-stop 5 days in NYC, Medina Valley High School Fine Arts say farewell to the Big Apple. Safe travels home!
