Educators and other education workers wear many hats. We feed and clothe kids. We listen to suicidal and self-harming kids talk about their trauma when they can’t access mental health supports. We act as “school parents” to those whose parents are unable to be present for them.

In 2011, tvdsb EAs started at $20.26. In 11 years they've received a $1.79 increase to $22.05!!! Minimum wage in 2011 was $10.25. Today, it's $15.50. So EAs went up 8.8% and minimum wage went up 51.2%. Add this to the explosion in violence and here we are! #cupe #onted

Protect yourself, your family, and your friends by practicing infection prevention measures such as: staying home when you are sick, sneezing/coughing into your elbow, frequent hand hygiene with soap and water, and masking when returning to school after being at home sick.

We can wear masks to protect ourselves AND as source control to protect others. One-way masking is not enough. #BringBackMasks
