MarViva CR 🇬🇧Whale watching 🐳and sport fishing🎣 are some of the many tourist activities that benefit from the rich biodiversity of the #ThermalDome . These species are attracted by the productivity of the Dome.
Last week, the SARGADOM team was in #Barcelona for the UN Ocean Decade conference. An opportunity to share the latest research on the #ThermalDome with participants. Today, we're continuing to present it in all its aspects with MarViva CR & share why it's essential to protect it

3⃣ The #ThermalDome is very important for marine biodiversity! Thanks to the high concentration of nutrients, the Dome is a feeding, breeding and migration site for a large number of species such as whales🐳, dolphins🐬, sharks🦈 and rays.
2⃣ The #ThermalDome , an ally in the face of #climatechange . The high concentration of nutrients in the Thermal Dome area favors the growth of microalgae, which help fix carbon as part of the photosynthesis process, thus buffering the effects of climate change.
Thanks go to Denis Loctier and Euronews Green, for highlighting the importance of the #RaceForRatification of the #HighSeasTreaty .
Because of its importance, Minna Epps raises it everywhere she goes, at nearly every meeting, in front of almost all audiences.
