The right to acquit a defendant according to one’s conscience has been enshrined in law since the 1600’s.

Juries are widely accepted to be the safeguard we all have against the tyrannical abuse of power by politicians, ministers and those in positions of authority in our courts.

Across this Week of Action, hundreds of local people will attend EVERY Crown Court in England & Wales.

Recently, we held a Citizens’ Assembly at the RCJ, where one attendee explained juries very succinctly:

“Juries and ‘us’, and if we trust ourselves, we should trust jurors.”

Trudi Warner will attend the Royal Courts of Justice this Thursday for a permission hearing from the Attorney General in an attempt to send her to prison.

Her crime? Holding this sign, which replicates a centuries-old plaque displayed in the Old Bailey and states the law.
