One way to see just how truly 'gobsmackingly bananas' North Atlantic sea surface temperatures are right now is to remove the 'less anomalous' year 2023 from the graph.

This just looks impossible in real life.

If you are upset about our plans to blockade the Congressional Baseball Game…that’s the point. Ecosystem collapse is upsetting. Runaway climate change is upsetting. The torching of earth is upsetting. We come not to comfort you. We come to shake you awake.

You know we’ve fully transitioned into consumerist-zombies when people can hear that the ACTUAL PLANET THEY LIVE ON is being rendered UNINHABITABLE, yet not let this news ruin their day.

We’re on the cusp of the most cataclysmic period in the history of our species.

And 99.9% of people (including pretty much all our leaders & the media) aren’t interested in even talking about it, let alone actually DOING something about it.

Governments spent $7,000,000,000,000 last year subsidizing an industry that will decimate every family on the planet.

There’s always been plenty of money to build any kind of society we want.

Heartbreaking that we’ve ended up with one intent on committing suicide.

They know it’s too late to save this civilization.

They’ve just chose to make themselves even more obscenely rich as they run it into the ground, rather than use their power & wealth to help the rest of us prepare & adapt so we might survive what’s coming.

It is too late to avoid catastrophic climate change

But using that as an excuse to do nothing will only ensure it is doubly catastrophic
