The moonset this morning in #Pittsburgh could not have worked out any better. Just as the sun rose above the city and illuminated the Mt. Washington hillside, the moon dropped right between the towers at the top of the Duquesne Incline. Timing was just perfect.
This morning the Sister Bridges in #Pittsburgh were lit up red, white and blue for Election Day, and the combination of the patriotic colors and colorful sunrise really made for some incredible scenes from the North Shore and Mt. Washington.
Gotta love when you can capture a beautiful moonset AND a moonrise in the same day in #Pittsburgh . Tonight I set out to capture the moon rising behind PPG Place, and the light was absolutely perfect. Check out the details in the moon. Incredible how clear it was this evening.

I’ve been capturing #Pittsburgh for a long time and this is the first time I think I’ve ever seen the river come over the wall above the dock on the North Shore. The rivers rose another two feet this afternoon, putting it currently at 26.5’. Really incredible to see.
