That seems unfair - expecting WORKERS to monitor their email during NON-WORKING hours?
Do their contracts state they must be electronically available between Friday evening and Sunday evening?
Sounds like a PERFECT grievance to me.

Asking for a response on the weekend with such short notice means they are asked to work on the weekend and be available on emails 24 hrs a day any time the employer feels like it
