Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Finland&Demark have much âŹď¸Caesarean section rates than these&loseâŹď¸mothers&babies than anywhere else in the world, so your logic does not add up. Toxic cultures are the issue not vaginal birth&until people stop the politics you wonât solved the problems
A fab event! Thank you Ricki Lake Michelle Quashie Tessa Dunning Octavia Wiseman Laura Godfrey-Isaacs (she/her) King's Maternity WOMEN'S VOICES It sparked pertinent conversation and hopefully has sent ripples...again. 11years on and âThe Business of Being Bornâ is still an agent for change.
Such a shame that this gold standard of midwifery care isnât being utilised during such critical times when the service canât meet the needs of women. Whoâs with women now? Women are suffering and fearful and planning to birth alone. đ @TeamCMidO Royal College of Midwives đ Better Births London

Independent Midwife @chilledmamacath Royal College of Midwives đ Nursing and Midwifery Council Itâs outrageous! Iâve never met a woman who hasnât had a positive birth experience with an IM. Safety is always sighted as a priority in Maternity yet women are being left to birth at home alone ? It doesnât need to be this way. Seriously worrying! x.com/quashiemichellâŚ
Good reason to keep healthy women and newborn babies away from the hospital and support them to birth at home? If struggling to staff that service why not take the support that IMUK are offering? Saw a woman at home yesterday who was so upset that the words âfailure to progressâ had been documented in her birth summary. The language we use needs to change in #midwifery Milli Hill đSheena Byrom she/her đ East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust đ
