There is no shared decisions in maternity care particularly when the decisions are about a woman’s body. Only a woman can make decisions about her body. Maternity professionals provide information to support the decision making process but the woman makes the final decisions.

The UK's First Black Women's Maternal Health Awareness Week is here! ⠀ Next week 16 - 22 September, a weeklong campaign will be dedicated to raising awareness about the disparities in maternal outcomes for Black women. ⠀ The theme for this year is “Protecting Black Women”.
