If I hadn't gone back out to my garden to attend to a wind damaged clematis I wouldn't have been able to rescue the one Meadow Brown I've seen in my garden this year! It was completely trapped in a thick cobweb in my potting shed.Took a while to carefully pull it all off but 👍

Absolutely thrilled to have seen a species of butterfly I’ve wanted to see for at least 20 years - the incredible Scarce Copper. And not just one, but many individuals. I can honestly say, there is no more fiery orange colour in the natural world than this! 😍 #Slovenia 🇸🇮

Recently I finished my latest creation - 1/4 acre of #wildflowermeadow, #wildlifepond and other various habitats in north #Wales. Over 60 species of native wildflowers & grasses will soon inhabit this site & provide vital refuge for wildlife. Who will use the perches first?! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Just one of the many reasons that cutting your #wildflowermeadow in July/August is too soon - one of many Common Blue & Brown Argus #butterflies seen yesterday evening, that roost on long stems of grass overnight. Random fact - they always face head down too. #NoMowSummer 🦋
