The Field of Remembrance setup commenced this morning in Prince Henry Gardens, North Terrace, Adelaide thanks to students, staff and parents from local colleges. A great effort to keep a tradition of respect going. It will be added to during this week.

The service and sacrifice of Peacekeepers is recognised in the Field of Remembrance with these unique crosses. We Will Remember Them. Thanks go to John Spencer for his efforts.

Mrs Thelma Zimmerman worked as a Telephonist during WWII, while her husband deployed with the Royal Australian Air Force in the Pacific. She was recently awarded with a US Army Small Ships Medallion at a small ceremony hosted by the War Widow’s Guild. Thank you for your service Thelma. #TYFYS

After an excellent day of celebration for the centenary of the Royal Australian Air Force, Director Catherine Walsh joined her Defence SA and South Australian Space Industry Centre colleagues Reg Carruthers and Darin Lovett at the Air Force Association - SA Division gathering in honour of the RAAF's 100th birthday! ✈❤

Catherine Walsh joined the Royal Australian Air Force nearly 25 years ago at just 16, beginning her career as an intelligence officer. Catherine is currently the Director of Veterans SA where she continues to work for the community. Read her story: dva.gov.au/newsroom/meet-… #TYFYS #OurVeterans

Frederick (Fred) Walker is celebrating his 100th birthday today. In 1941, Fred enlisted in the The Australian Army & served in New Guinea & Bougainville & was involved in the Battle of Slater’s Knoll. Happy birthday Fred. #TYFYS #OurVeterans
