Norway chairs the Group of Friends for Education and Life Long Learning. Today at the Norwegian mission, together with DSG Amina J Mohammed and Stefania Giannini of #UNESCO , the group took stock of progress towards #SDG4 ahead of #SOTF .
Pleased to engage, together with UNDSG Amina J Mohammed, with the Group of Friends for Education & Lifelong Learning UN Friends for Education & Lifelong Learning 📕 to better position #education at the #SOTF . Their advocacy is crucial for galvanizing the international community on #SDG4 going forward.
Knowledge is power, yet 90% of children in sub-Saharan Africa cannot read or understand a simple text by the age of 10.
