I just watched Therese Shechter' great doc about the rich history of child-free people's political voices. Women who wrote books/articles on the topic in 70's & 80's got intense backlash, but they also heard from so many women relieved someone had said it all out loud, at last.

In addition to Ellen Peck's influential book "The Baby Trap," check out "Pronatalism: The Myth of Mom and Apple Pie," which she co-authored with Judith Senderowitz in the early 1970s. We've been talking about the insidious dangers of pronatalism for decades!
