This morning we held a community cycle around Stroud Green, London, N4. Despite the damp day it was a joy to see children developing their confidence in cycling on the road. We set off from Finsbury Park. Our marshals did a great job in keeping us safe. 🚲 🌎🧵1/5

This section of the road is crying out for a protected bike lane - with 14k vehicles a day it is an unpleasant and unsafe experience for pedestrians and cyclists.🚲🌎 3/5

Safety in numbers allowed us to negotiate this notorious S bend without fear - walkers and cyclists often feel at risk on this narrow neighbourhood road - that is being used as a cut through. 🚲🌎 4/5

The Fox 👤 🚗🚗🚗🚗🚗 Time to implement ALL Haringey Council’s LTNs currently cooling on back-burners and growing dusty on drawing-boards. One of the Wards most in need is Stroud Green. Put them in without further delays! Those affected by absence include cyclists, wheelers and pedestrians.

Worse than appalling. The overriding question ai have is, why are these (often oversized) and vastly overpowered cars NOT speed-limited? Can anyone answer why? 🤔 They ALL should be. Every single car.
