And yet our council is too timid to address the tiny area between Hornsey Road and Stroud Green Road. 😭 All the Islington Labour councillors have a HUGE majority - we need them to take some courage from that and be just a tiny bit bold.

Car crash on Tollington Park this morning, near junction w Fonthill - just as a crocodile of 30 primary school children was walking past. A street with primary, secondary & nursery school on it should not be this dangerous. We must stop thru traffic Flora Williamson Rowena Champion

#OnThisDay in 2021, a daytime Bus Gate in Church St and 5 LTN filters were implemented. In Church St, which has 112 businesses, 6 pubs, 2 schools, 2 nurseries and 2 parks, footfall and cycling have increased. Traffic on 'boundary roads' largely unchanged, per traffic analysis.

1/3 I cycled with family from Finsbury Park to Ally Pally tonight. The fireworks show was spectacular. The cycle was not just depressingly bad, it was VERY scary. I was embarrassed to think that we’d ever encouraged people to cycle this journey…

This morning we held a community cycle around Stroud Green, London, N4. Despite the damp day it was a joy to see children developing their confidence in cycling on the road. We set off from Finsbury Park. Our marshals did a great job in keeping us safe. 🚲 🌎🧡1/5

This section of the road is crying out for a protected bike lane - with 14k vehicles a day it is an unpleasant and unsafe experience for pedestrians and cyclists.🚲🌎 3/5

Safety in numbers allowed us to negotiate this notorious S bend without fear - walkers and cyclists often feel at risk on this narrow neighbourhood road - that is being used as a cut through. 🚲🌎 4/5

We cycled down Stroud Green Rd and got lots of thumbs up from motorists and pedestrians - maybe more are realising that the status quo is not sustainable and that we urgently need cleaner, healthier ways of moving around our city. 5/5 Peray Ahmet Mike Hakata Catherine West 🚲🌎

The Fox πŸ‘€ πŸš—πŸš—πŸš—πŸš—πŸš— Time to implement ALL Haringey Council’s LTNs currently cooling on back-burners and growing dusty on drawing-boards. One of the Wards most in need is Stroud Green. Put them in without further delays! Those affected by absence include cyclists, wheelers and pedestrians.

Worse than appalling. The overriding question ai have is, why are these (often oversized) and vastly overpowered cars NOT speed-limited? Can anyone answer why? πŸ€” They ALL should be. Every single car.

Ross Lydall Can we have one on Tollington Park, N4, asap please? Very dangerous, polluted, congested residential side street, with 3 schools, 100s of children walking along every day, used as a 7sisters bypass, & Islington Council Rowena Champion won't even give us a school street.
