Thrilled (and surprised) to announce that my research group, The Salon (The Salon), has been shortlisted for the "World Salon Awards 2023"! As you can see from the Sao Paulo address (?), this means we are one of the best beauty salons in Brazil!🇧🇷

Congrats to Jimmy Di on winning the Vector Institute Scholarship in AI! He was my Waterloo's Cheriton School of Computer Science URA, and will be staying for his Master's. He's done great work so far on new poisoning threats caused by machine unlearning (x.com/thegautamkamat…), I can't wait to work with him more!

Accepted to #ICML2024: "Disguised Copyright Infringement of Latent Diffusion Models" By Yiwei Lu*, Matthew Yang*, Zuoqiu Liu*, coadvised by me & Yaoliang Yu. Copyright violations can be *disguised*: detecting them may require more than just looking at the training data! 🧵1/n
