Canvassing in Whitechapel Ward this morning with some great colleagues. Local issues such as bin collection, cleanliness of the streets & traffic congestion was raised. Ward Cllr Cllr Faroque will be raising these matters with the Council. Our movement for change has started!

Interesting to hear the lead member explain to residents about installation of CCTV cameras at today’s community safety surgery. The CCTV transformation programme is a legacy of the previous Tower Hamlets Labour Group admin. See cabinet report with date & name of the former Cabinet member.

Our thanks to the residents of the new housing block in Wickford Street for contacting their Tower Hamlets Labour Group Cllr’s regarding ASB, repair & parking issues. Cllr. Rebaka Sultana & I are grateful to Council officers for todays site visit. I will be following up these matters with the Council.

These ten well-designed, genuinely affordable, family-sized homes were commissioned by Tower Hamlets Labour Group's Mayor + cllrs in 2020, funded by Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan. #BuildingHope
