Unlike Friends of the Earth which is extolling the virtues of industrialising our countryside, CPRE The countryside charity has an excellent rooftop solar campaign. This is the one to support. We can have our cake & eat it.

Learning to work with nature continues to give results.

Iโ€™ve struggled with bad erosion on my riverbank. Lots of attempts to reduce it failed.

I recently planted as much coppiced willow as I could. It has now come to life & will hold the bank together indefinitely, for free!

E. coli levels in the Seine are unsafe for Olympic swimmers but Pres Macron is so convinced he can clean it up in time he's vowed to swim in it.

Rishi Sunak you up for it mate? Quick mile along the Thames next to Parliament? Take the Macron challenge?

EIGHTEEN MONTHS into my campaign. The proposal to add a swift brick requirement to Building Regulations is ready, approved & recommended by ALL experts. Without swift bricks thereโ€™s no guaranteed nesting habitat for swifts&there never will be. The govt CAN give them a future. โณ

UK earthworm population down by a staggering one third in just last 25 years.

Grim news indeed, for our soils, bird populations and ecosystems in general

Nothing poses a greater threat to our food security than the terrible farming practices that are destroying the soil, earthworms, watercourses, pollinators and all the other natural capital on which food production depends entirely. We must be mad.

Theย ECHR CEDHย has today ruled in favour of KlimaSeniorinnenย in their case against the Swiss government, which argued that their human rights were being violated through the governmentโ€™s inaction on climate change. A huge win for these inspirational claimants. ๐Ÿงต
