Great afternoon spent at the BuryWaterMeadowsGroup Bury BioBlitz in the Abbey Gardens today. Enjoyed the black poplar walk and talk.

Important stuff. We've seen some major laurel and rhody smothering in east anglian ancient woods lately. Very damaging and very costly to remove (but it can be done!). Don't get me started on muntjac.

A timely reminder of what farmers face - from extreme weather, power imbalance in supply chains, to receiving little of the price of the food they make despite bearing all the risk.
