Happy #EarthDay2024 . Thinking global and acting local on this day. And sharing thanks to all our supporters and volunteers who make the landscape restoration through trees that we undertake, possible. Respect.
Happy #EarthDay2024 . We're celebrating a 95% success rate in the 6000 saplings planted here over 2 years in hedgerows & shelterbelts. Big shout out to farmers planting with us in South Wales & huge thanks to our wonderful volunteers Stump Up For Trees & Woodland Trust Cymru
Did you know, ancient oak trees can support the lives of over 2,300 other species?
Cornerstones of our woodland communities, they provide both a home and a food source for birds, bats, insects and much more.

A film crew came last summer to Bryn Arw and in winter, to a farm where we were planted a hedge. The film crew were working for the Save Our Wild Isles campaign, who kindly funded us. Here is the overview film - heartfelt and charming.

Double your money supporting this fabulous organisation. Hundreds of thousands of trees already planted, so much more to do.

Another great and rare find for #WildlifeWednesday in Woodland Trust's Glovers Wood, Surrey. Our Forestry Technician stands next to a very impressive multi stemmed wild service tree, another species we are researching for seed sourcing.

First bird survey of the year⦠5.45am start on Bryn Arw. Lusty song in a chilly wind. All the usual suspects.
If you fancy getting involved in our ecological surveys this spring, give us a shout:
