David Attenborough will always be a personal hero and an inspiration, to be doing what he’s doing, filming on location, campaigning to restore our natural world at 96 years old is incredible. #saveourWildIsles has been brilliant even with the BBC refusing to air the last episode.
Close encounter with the kingfisher Walthamstow Wetlands.

How do you plan to help #nature in 2023?

'We must all play a role in restoring nature, whether you're an individual, a community, a business leader or a politician - together we can use our decisions and time to bring nature back to life.'

Studland Bay is home to around 50 hectares of seagrass, a crucial habitat as a both a home for wildlife and for its ability to absorb carbon dioxide.
But we've lost about 91% of all our seagrass, let's protect what we have left and help #SaveOurWildIsles .

There's nothing quite like the joy of wildflowers, but did you know we’ve lost around 97% of our wildflower meadows since the 1930s?
One of the most valuable habitats we have - it's time to protect and help restore what's left.

Did you know, ancient oak trees can support the lives of over 2,300 other species?
Cornerstones of our woodland communities, they provide both a home and a food source for birds, bats, insects and much more.

“Ancient trees are precious. There is little else on Earth that plays host to such a rich community of life within a single living organism.”

A pleasure for ICAEW to host the launch of the #SaveOurWildIsles business films tonight. A fantastic initiative by RSPB, WWF UK and National Trust. I highlighted the urgency of protecting and restoring our natural world and the leadership role that business must play.
