To be clear, the Biden Administration released a Title IX rule today that specifically states that students accused of rape, IPV, and stalking can not be suspended until an investigation is over.

So why are students getting suspended and evicted for protesting genocide?

There is no evidence of a prescription stimulant “crisis,” other than people not being able to access their prescribed meds. Worth noting DEA has no medical personnel & does not have the requisite knowledge to weigh in on medical issues but still tries to dictate medical practice

It is supremely inappropriate that medical professionals are not masking in clinic. It makes me unbelievably angry.

For now, this is still the best time of the year to go and get healthcare or do other activities if you've been holding off due to higher COVID levels over winter. The risk is lower, but not zero, so it still makes sense to take precautions like masking.

This is something to keep an eye on. The biggest predictor of COVID surges are new variants, and it's why COVID isn't seasonal. We are vulnerable to summer waves whenever the wrong variant comes along.

Said it a thousand times but: there was no chance that deciding Covid didn’t matter wouldn’t also cause a slide in infection control in general. We *know* what we’re doing is wrong, and I it undermines the idea that we shouldn’t do wrong things.

Always in awe of Alice Wong 王美華 and her tireless advocacy for all people with disabilities. When I look at this photo I see community care & love. Everyone around her wearing respirators because she can’t mask to protect herself. This is what we need in healthcare!

in the US die by suicide at 4 times the rate of those who weren’t adopted.

Seems like a pretty clear form of communication to me.

A spring arrangement can still be dark and moody and wild. 🖤

[Video Description: a floral arrangement is slowly turned around a the top of a stool to show different angles and textures. The palette is a moody mix of deep deep purples, blues, reds, and touches of blush pink.]

Government data shows an alarming increase in long-term sickness in the UK.

Conservative media like the Spectator are lying and blaming it on lockdowns from 4 years ago.

Yet mainstream media is in denial and refusing to point to the obvious connection with COVID and Long COVID.

States are making protests illegal, colleges and universities are canceling valedictorian speechs, while Biden is president, not Trump. Again, believing all bad things started with Trump and simply voting for Democrats and Biden in November will “save” us is dangerously ignorant.

2020: This is scary but with everyone taking precautions the risk is low.

2021: At least there's isolation guidance and reqs for sick folks to mask up.

2022: At least there's still masks in healthcare.

2023: Oh god.

2024: Can you at least not assault me for or outlaw my PPE?

Tying health care to your job is how these billionaires and corporations continue to control and exploit workers. So many people would quit their jobs tomorrow if health care was universal. Same with housing and food. If we all had the basics, this house of cards would collapse.

Didn't cost them a penny.

It's all paid for by the American denial of healthcare, child poverty, widespread homelessness, and crushing student debt.

That's the American social contract. We have these dynamics at home, so we can have consequence-free genocides abroad.

I’m treating kids with mental illnesses that have worsened significantly due to repeated COVID infections and I still cannot get them or their parents to mask or take consistent precautions.
