Diligent work by Al Jazeera has made a serious case that something went wrong with media reporting of Corbyn era. Its investigation deserves a conscientious response. Instead near total omerta. In my new column for Middle East Eye I ask why the silence. middleeasteye.net/opinion/uk-lab…

The fact Boris Johnson is on holiday in the Caribbean while parliament is sitting, at a time of national crisis, after spending most of the last two months of his premiership on holiday, confirms everything you need to know and already knew. He deserves nothing but disgrace.

Just seen a post on here comparing the rioting scumbags of the past few nights to Old Contemptibles. This makes my blood boil. Muslims, Hindus & Sikhs earned the 1914 Star; sons of immigrants and even a few men of Afro-Caribbean heritage served with the BEF in 1914.

110 years ago this morning, 3 hours into the #greatwar , this man, Henry Hadley, became the 1st Briton to die as a result of an enemy soldier’s gunshot. Buried in an unmarked grave in a cemetery in Gelsenkirchen. I discovered his story in a Foreign Office record at the NA #ww1
