The Victims, Witnesses and Justice Reform Bill proposes the creation of a new national Sexual Offences Court.

Justice Secretary Angela Constance met with New Zealand's Justice Minister Paul Goldsmith in Edinburgh.

They discussed the Victims, Witnesses and Justice Reform Bill, and other areas of shared interest such as the balance between the use of custody and justice in the community.

Community Safety Minister @SiobhianAyr met partners at @StirlingCE to hear from young people about how the project has supported them.

Scottish Government has invested £200,000 funding this year so they can continue to prevent young people from crime and into education, training or work.

Yesterday, Minister for Keeping the Promise Natalie Don MSP led the debate at Scottish Parliament on the Children (Care and Justice) Bill.

Now passed, the Bill will help Scotland take a big step forward in embedding #UNCRC principles and Keeping the Promise.

The Victims, Witnesses & Justice Reform Bill seeks to improve experiences of the justice system for sexual offences victims.

Justice Secretary Angela Constance told @Scotparl that proposed new rights for such victims would protect their privacy and ensure their voices are heard.
