Our Message today: Council Homes Need Green Space. You don't build on green space. You definitely don't build private flats on council green space such as the Peckham Green on Jocelyn Street. Peckham Vision @XRSouthwark 35% Campaign South London Press
Apologies, we didn't tag Trees For Bermondsey or Save The Footbridge Oaks Campaign! Doing an amazing job of holding Southwark to account. Trying to keep our borough as tree friendly as possible because things like this keep happening.. x.com/slooshbag5/sta…
Locals call it the Green, it looks like a green, it's in Peckham and there isn't already a 'Peckham Green', it's green on the map and from space. Southwark Council builds on parks. 48 days to get Southwark to stop. BBC News (UK) @Frank_Molloy_UK #FFS
Another case of Lewisham Council protecting and supporting insurance companies instead of the rights of #nature #trees #residents
Thank you again Paul Powlesland for your decisive help in fighting off the injunction. We're still waiting for Southwark Council to put forward their alternative repair plans for the footbridge.
Please remember the arrogance of City of London Lewisham Council refusal to engage with legitimate community concerns over the Mais House development when you vote tomorrow #LocalElections2022 crowdjustice.com/case/friendsof… via CrowdJustice
Shame on Lewisham Council wanting to fell this mature plane tree because it would cost more to keep it. Just to put a crane in place for one weekend. Have they put the eco-system services and amenity value of the tree into their calculations?
