That “MIT study” on AI pilots failing keeps being circulated with dramatic headlines The methodology doesn’t allow general conclusions about failure rate. It is from 52 convenience interviews with vague methods (Though most pilots not scaling is normal for first experiments)

EXACTLY -- Workslop is a management challenge, not an indictment of GenAI tools. - Stop hiring lazy people that are not committed to excellent work. - Reject workslop instead of fixing it. The headline was designed for engagement, not to offer solutions.

Artists: Please don't let AI make your music. It can help you in other ways: * Mixing suggestions or identifying effects * Marketing assistance (but not AI generated videos) * List compiling (clubs, promoters, etc) BUT MAKE YOUR OWN MUSIC! We can hear the difference.

NY Times using an AI generated image (6 fingers on peace sign hand) to celebrate victory over BigAI. You can't make this stuff up. Or can you? 🧐

Too many AI papers with "academic affiliations" in it for clicks these days. Unis should be a little discerning of what they cosign. All the "Blame AI" and "Bad AI" reports are disappointing at so many levels.
