Even Metropolitan Police think Southwark Council's approach to 'consultation' is a sham - they have serious concerns about the safety and security of staff and visitors to the proposed building and are still waiting for the council to respond 👮🏿⬇️

In that case, perhaps @BellPhillipsArc could rescue us from the disastrous plans that Allies and Morrison have come up with for QR4. Queens Road deserves 'brilliant new architecture', too.

The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan and TfL are planning to upgrade #Peckham High Street to make it a more welcoming space to get around by bike and on foot. We want to know what you think - have your say in the public consultation by 31 March:

Southwark Council keep claiming that they have listened to the Queens Road community and decreased the size of their proposed office block... By how much you ask? Just 50m2, the equivalent of 4 car parking spaces. #ShamConsultation #ProtectPeckhamNeighbourhoods

Nobody in their right mind would expect 100% of anything asked for, but the 3.38% reduction in area is an insult to community consultation and to the hundreds of residents who have spent time working with your colleagues to get a civic building we can be proud of in our area.

By decreasing the overall site area, Southwark Council have significantly increased the density of the proposed QR4 building. The council should stop saying it has listened to the public and stop claiming the building has been made smaller since the first failed scheme 👇🏾
