In 2019, San Bernardino Airport officials pushed forward a plan to develop a western region air hub for Amazon. Community members, including many Teamsters, living around the airport began organizing as San Bernardino Airport Communities. (2/7) latimes.com/business/la-fi…

They knocked on 1000s of doors to rally for guaranteed good jobs + clean air at the facility and even set up a picket at a nearby facility on Cyber Monday. Still, Amazon’s developer refused to negotiate with San Bernardino Airport Communities. Elected officials in power approved the facility. (3/7)

Community members continued to organize. Once the facility opened, it became KSBD! By the end of 2022, it was home to the largest Amazon worker strike in North America because KSBD Amazon Teamsters fights for a living wage & safer working conditions. (4/7) ktla.com/news/local-new…

(1/2) On Friday morning over 50 workers ar KSBD— Amazon’s largest air hub on the West Coast— demanded answers on behalf of 500 coworkers who know that site leaders have been committing wage theft. They kept associates working when we should have been on break.

(2/2) Our demands are simple: 1. Pay us what we’re owed. 2. Prioritize our safety and follow the law. When we work more than 10 hours, give us our third 10 minute rest break required under California law. KSBD has two weeks to respond. Amazon better have our money!
